Executive Experience

Michael C is a former **Air Mobility Command Mobile Aerial Port Squadron (MAPS) Team Chief with extensive global experience in expeditionary airlift, contingency logistics, and austere aerial port operations spanning Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Central America.

Mike began his mobility career as a Dover-based Airlift Control Element (ALCE) “Red Hatter,”supporting crisis airlift operations during the Shaba II crisis in Zaire in 1978. During this operation he participated in the strategic air bridge moving French Foreign Legion forces via the Corsica–Dakar–Zaire route.

Throughout the 1980s and 1990s he served with the 2nd and 4th Mobile Aerial Port Squadrons, conducting expeditionary cargo and airlift operations worldwide.

Mike is a graduate of the United States Army Quartermaster School Airdrop Rigger Course, supporting contingency and exercise operations including:

• Operation Big Pine – Honduras supporting Special Forces and SEAL deployments
• Multiple Team Spirit exercise operations in the Republic of Korea
• Arctic and remote airlift operations in Alaska
• Higher Headquarters Airlift Controller duties coordinating cargo flows and airlift assets across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East

As a Mobile Aerial Port Team Chief, Mike supported aerial port and humanitarian logistics operations during numerous contingency missions including:

• Gulf War – Desert Shield / Desert Storm, including operations at Rafha LZ, Saudi Arabia
• Operation Provide Comfort, Sirsenk LZ, Iraq
• Operation Provide Promise, aerial port operations in Zagreb and Split, Croatia, supporting United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees
• Operation Sharp Edge, Monrovia, Liberia, supporting Economic Community of West African States Monitoring Group forces.

Across these missions he established and managed expeditionary cargo handling and aircraft ground operations at austere and infrastructure-limited airfields worldwide.

Following active duty, Mike continued supporting expeditionary logistics as a contractor.

He served with DynCorp in Muscat, Oman, and at multiple locations across the Middle East.

Later he served as Chief of Air Cargo and Ramp Services for KBR at Tuzla Air Base, Bosnia and Herzegovina, supporting NATO and special operations elements.

Mike brings decades of experience in:

• Expeditionary aerial port establishment
• Austere airfield cargo operations
• Aircraft ground handling and ramp control
• Multinational airlift coordination
• Humanitarian Aid / Disaster Relief logistics (HA/DR)
• Deployable logistics node planning and execution

He is also a former commercial hazardous materials cargo instructor, qualified in:

• International Air Transport Association Dangerous Goods Regulations
• 49 CFR Hazardous Materials Regulations
• International Maritime Organization IMDG Code

Mike currently provides consulting and expeditionary logistics advisory services to government agencies, NGOs, and remote industry clients.

He specializes in:

• Expeditionary air mobility planning
• Deployable aerial port capability design
• Disaster response and humanitarian logistics integration
• Rapid deployable resilience logistics concepts

He is the Founder and CEO of Expeditionary Air Services LLC.

Mike is highly proficient in Thai and Laotian and maintains strong cultural familiarity
