Career Highlights

 

 

  • 1976-1978 (Dover AFB, 1976–1978): Red Hatter with Dover ALCE; numerous deployments including Zaire Airlift (Corsica (Solenzara) to Dakar, onward to Kinshasa/Lubumbashi on C-141A/C-130s moving French Foreign Legion) and many other ALCE missions.


  • 1978-1980:435 Aerial Port Squadron (Rhein-Main AB Germany, worked in outbound cargo and outrsized cargo section.


  • Two Tours with 2nd Mobile Aerial Port Squadron (Little Rock AFB, 1980–1982, 1983–1985): Graduated U.S. Army Rigger School and Volant Scorpion (Air Base Ground Defense); led deployments supporting 101st/82nd Airborne (e.g., Team Spirit Korea), Operation Big Pine One (Honduras – Tegucigalpa/Pomerola, moving 7TH Special Forces/SEAL Team 4), and Team Spirit Korea landing zone ops.

 

  • Taegu AB Korea, 1982–1983): Directed outbound/outsized cargo, HAZMAT and ramp operations, including heavy equipment handling. Supported 4TH Quartermaster Corp US Army.


  • At 322nd Airlift Division (Ramstein, 1985–1989): Supervised all cargo and airlift missions across Europe, Africa, and Middle East; obtained Top Secret clearance; oversaw movements of cargo, personnel, and airlift forces theater-wide. 

 

  • Served as 4TH MAPS Team Chief for mobile aerial port operations across Europe, Africa, and Middle East, including Captain of the 4th MAPS Airlift Rodeo Team. Acted as Thai Language Interpreter for RTAF (Royal Thai Air Force) Rodeo Team. 90% Fluent In Thai Language.


  • Team Chief on key deployments during Operation Desert Shield/Storm (Team Chief at Rhafa Landing Zone and multiple intra-theater sites); Operation Provide Hope (humanitarian airlift missions to former Soviet republics, e.g., Yerevan, Armenia and St Petersburg; Operation Provide Promise (airlift ops in Zagreb and Split, Croatia under UNHCR); Operation Eagle (James Spriggs Airfield, Monrovia, Liberia supporting ECOMOG peacekeepers.)

 

  • As DynCorp (beginning 2003 contractor,)managed one of the largest trucking operations since the Red Ball  Express, moving War Reserve Material (WRM) across the Middle East for U.S. deployments into Iraq; leveraged heavy equipment operator skills and Class A CDL for safe, large-scale vehicle and material movements; Sealift operations form Port of Salalah Oman, later closed Prince Sultan Air Base (PSAB) over 9 months with DynCorp Muscat.


  • As a KBR contractor at Eagle Base (2004-05,) Bosnia, acted as Team Chief for Air Freight and Ramp Services supporting NATO; served as HAZMAT boss; deployed first Bosnian EOD Team on 3 C-17 missions from Sarajevo to Iraq (built pallets, certified all HAZMAT cargo, loaded aircraft); supported allied aircraft (NATO) and Special Operations aircraft and unit (e.g., MC-130s) at Tuzla.
